Valentine's Day this year we wanted to be with our little one especially since she was sick all week. It was a fun morning watching her open her gifts from Daddy. I think you will agree the Godiva chocolate was her favorite! Jake is making a delicious dinner tonight and got me a beautiful card, chocolates, bath bubbles and a gift certificate for VS! I am so excited to get swimsuits for Jamaica! Hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day with the ones you love.

Stop and smell the flowers...
Jake surprised me this week with flowers! What a sweet surprise! I have been somewhat stressed with working at the salon, registration for Creative Movement and my very most important job, being a stay at home Mommy! He definitely made my day or week for that matter. Jake has had quite a hectic schedule lately flying a couple times a week and some of them being night flights. All though our schedules may be busy right now we took moment to stop and smell the flowers.

Wedding bells...
With the wedding in just 3 months I need to get my butt in gear and start planning! The resort we chose, Beaches in Negril, Jamaica has an inclusive basic plan, but we may add in the reception after the ceremony.
I am so excited to go on vacation and even happier to finally make it official and join my fellow Campione Clan(Soph and Jake)! The wedding date is May 9th and without even planning it purposely it falls on Mother's Day! I think that makes everything about that day feel even more perfect!
I have my dress and they are working on alterations back home. I am hoping to get home in March for a much needed family visit and a dress fitting will work out perfectly. I have found Sophie's dress and can not wait to see her in it!! My bouquet is magenta flowers so I am hoping to get the flower pedals in her dress to match. Jake is going to wear a latte' colored suit. So there is your update for the Scarcelli/Campione wedding! Now back to planning!

The Proposal...

I am so excited to announce that Jake and I are engaged!! While we were home for the holidays Sophie woke me in the morning. She was handing me something, but anyone who knows me knows I am practically blind without my contacts! I didn't realize at first what it was. Then it hit me! The whole thing was so sweet and exactly what I hoped for. Jake followed her in and got down on his knee and the rest is history:) I was so glad Sophie was apart of it too!
We are starting the planning and as of now we are going to Beaches in Jamaica for a destination wedding! The wedding day is May 9, which happens to be Mother's Day too! We are thinking a small wedding with just our immediate family. Jake and I have never been on vacation together and Sophie hasn't either! We can't wait for a little fun in the sun!

A little scare, but everything was ok...
The other day we laid Sophie down for a nap. Like normal she wimpers for a couple minutes and then falls asleep. This day her little wimpers became more of a cry so I went to check on her and she had gotten her foot caught between the rails of her crib! She was face down and her foot was literally twisting backwards. I yelled for Jake and he tried turning her foot back through, but she was so worked up that she wouldn't relax enough for us to move it. Jake ended up breaking the rail to get her foot out and thankfully it was only a little swollen. Thank God she didn't break her ankle! Jake ran out to Menards and fixed the crib rail. Now with a little stain it will look as good as new!

Santa was a no go...
This year we thought it would be fun to dress Sophie up and go to see Santa. She looked too cute in her matching Santa dress!
At first the day started out great. She loved seeing all the babies and Christmas decorations at the mall. We arrived at Santa's throne and waited in line to see him. Sophie seemed content so we went ahead and picked out a photo package imagining the perfect little Christmas card!

It was finally our turn for Santa and if we had a timer I think she lasted 2.2 seconds on his lap! She screamed and turned red in the face, she looked as if we had sat her on hot coals!! So needless to say Santa was a no go...better luck next year:)

Family visits for the holidays...
Jake and I were so excited when our families both decided to visit us in our new home! Jake's parents arrived 3 weeks ago and we had an early Thanksgiving celebration along with fun days playing with Sophie. The weather was still nice then so we actually took a stroll around the neighborhood for some fresh air and to burn off some of that delicious meal! I was very happy Sophie warmed right up to Gramps and Grandma Dakota(Ha!)!
My parents visited this past weekend and I couldn't wait to see them. This was the longest time we've had in between visits and we long awaited their arrival.
Something they always wanted to do was take Sophie out on the town. They dressed her up in this adorable outfit from Jake's Mom and went for a joy ride through the mall and of course for her favorite...ice cream and french fries!
Their stay went by too fast like always, but that is because we always have such a great time. We stayed up a couple nights past 2am playing the intense game Taboo!
Thanksgiving dinner was yummy and we actually just finished up the leftovers!
Up next...home for the Chirstmas!! We will be home Christmas Eve until Jan. 2! We are so excited to spend time with friends and family.
