Farewell to Shreveport...

Time flew and before we knew it, it was time to pack our things and move to our next destination...Minot, ND. I am looking forward to being stable in one place for the next few years, but I will definitely miss the weather in Louisiana. Some other things I will miss will be having a pool at our apt. complex. Sophie and I visited the pool a few times a week and we both enjoyed getting out of the house and getting some fresh air. I will also miss The Boardwalk. Besides the awesome shopping option it provided, it was a great place for Sophie and I to spend the day. The Cajun Daiquiri will also be missed. Only in Louisiana will they allow drive through roadies! There are so many great memories there and I will keep them close to my heart always. Our firsts in Louisiana: Sophie learned to sit up, crawl, eat solids, celebrated our 1st Mothers/Father's Day, it's was all so great. So good bye to our first official move with the Air Force and on to new and exciting endeavors!

Jake's Graduation!

It was so great to see Jake graduate from B52 pilot training. Jack and Liz came into town for graduation too! We had a great time playing bags poolside and showing them the sights to see in Shreveport. Jake received the Academic Achievement Award for the highest grade overall in his class. We were all so proud of him! It was an awesome weekend and a much deserved celebration. Congrats Babe you did it!

Baby Bjorn Lost and Found...

Today Sophie and I needed some fresh air and the only way to do that in this Louisiana heat is to take a walk at the crack of dawn or swim in a pool. I have wished I used my Baby Bjorn more when Sophie was smaller and truthfully thought she was too big for it now. I saw it in her closet this morning and decided to take a look at the weight limit...25lbs! We have got plenty of time to use this baby! Needless to say I buckled her up and we headed out for a nice morning walk. I don't know who was happier to be outside on a walk before the day hits 100! What a wonderful way to start our day:)

4th of July...

Last weekend was so much fun in the Ozarks! The drive is long, but leaving around 3 was perfect for Sophie. She took her afternoon nap woke up at 4:30 we stopped for dinner at 5:30 and fed the munchkin and she was out by around 7:30! We got there by 1am and the festivities began! The first night always seems to be the latest. We have all come a long way to see each other so when we arrive it's not stop laughing, talking and catching up with everyone. Oh and a few cocktails of course:)

Sophie showed off in her America's Sweetheart outfit from Bre by pulling up and cruising from table to couch to patio doors!

On Friday we went out on our neighbors boat and hung in a cove most the day. It was so much fun floating in the water beers in hand!

There was also an awesome surprise in our boat slip...an amazing jet ski!!! It was so much fun taking it out on the lake all weekend. Bre even drove it for the first time!!!

The boys went fishing everyday and by the 4th day...well you can see by the photo how well they did!

We went to old town too. The boys did the batting cages and the girls were more interested in the shops. Jake and I had a dance of and I got my crown back from when I was 6 months pregnant and he beat me! Eric and Jake had a go round at it too!

Sophie was definitely pooped after all the fun we had. We go home late Sunday night and she was Zzzzz for the rest of the night. Daddy got to do his favorite job and bring Sophie to bed from the car. Overall it was a great time! We will be home in just 11 days! We are so excited to be home it's been too long.
